Horizons Trying to locate skimmer missions against anarchy targets

Wanted to first thank you if you have any insight or suggestions. I have been trying for the entire weekend and part of last week to make sense of the reason why one place may offer skimmer assault missions against another target system.

I had taken a passenger mission that led me to a planet surface base. When I looked at the mission database on arrival and delivery I found skimmer missions. Which I had not done in a while. I have enjoyed their pace but I also really enjoy my standings.

Bounties and fines are pesky things. There were missions to go to three different systems. Two of them were Empire faction targets being given by Empire faction mission givers. But one of the targets given were to an anarchy power. But this did not last.
With the recent change to incorporate the swings in state I can not make sense of why these missions were available or why they dried up in the end. There is still also the bug for bases skimmers being spawned underground where you can not kill them.

I would really like to know how to make sense of the system behind this so I can find similar missions and then hunt down to find ones assaulting anarchy stations. I am hoping someone somewhere knows the answer.

Thank you again for your input if you have any.

A whole day later and not one comment to offer any guidance or help. Let alone anyone from staff who might actually know the answer.

This basically proves that Frontier is not willing to do anything to actually enable players to play their way. The states changing so quickly prove they wanted to ruin game play and not support it.

Chill my friend :)
It's a big forum with lots going on, sometimes things get overlooked.

I'm not sure why certain systems, or more specifically certain planetary ports, go crazy for skimmer missions, but once you find a good one it seems to keep going. The best will have missions from all (but one) of the factions targeting the same faction and planet.

However, the best advice I can give is this:
The mission is to kill skimmers belonging to a particular Faction in a particular system.
The outpost location is just a suggestion and you can kill them in any location run by that faction, as long as it's in that system. If they own multiple outposts you can try any of them.
An outpost's jurisdiction extends to about 350km radius.
If the target faction are also the system's Controlling Faction, then you can go to any part of a planet that isn't specifically controlled by another Faction i.e. not within 350km of another Faction's outpost/port.

And finally, the most important one.... instead of attacking the outpost directly (unless you really want to :) ) look for POIs in the area around the outpost. At most POIs you will find 1-4 Wanted skimmers belonging to the target Faction. You can legally shoot them, claiming a 1000Cr bounty on each, and they still count towards your total.
I usually fly until I find the first POI, then jump in the SRV and use the Wavescanner to find the next... and so on.

In the last 2-3 weeks I've probably made about 200 million from these missions.

Good luck.

Thank you for the reply. I am actually being 'chill' though. With having only found this place recently due to passenger missions I was a bit excited. But literally days later and poof. Now there are absolutely no skimmer missions available.

This just leaves me frustrated and annoyed.

I do appreciate the workaround for the skimmers not showing up.

They change every single day. I even considered a correlation between power play targets. Just can not figure it out.

Location for said missions, Hunzical - HE Base. Target Chirskokum Crew base in Chirskokum.

I am just done caring about this or anything else with the game. I just took a mission to kill 40 pirate targets. I spent 2 hours trying to find my targets and only found 1. At this rate it would of taken 80 hours and I only had 1 day and 8 hours to finish this.

I do not live my life in Elite. This is a representation of how the Staff and developers consider their players lives. They expect their player base to just play Elite, all of the time. No job, no life. Just Elite, all the time.

I do not cheat to earn credits. I do not use admin powers to gift myself billions of credits. I do not have insider information for the best locations to earn money. But not one of the developers actually play the game like the rest of us actual players do. They have no investment in the game like a person who actually wants to play and earn their ships, weapons, and everything else.

Take the passenger missions paying what they do. I did one to go out just under 12k light years. I had 2 missions each paying 33.4 million from an ally. I had a jump range of 23 light years. It took forever to do. I got so sick of just jumping sun after sun after sun. With exploration I barely crossed 76 mil as I recall. I was averaging around 58 to 64 jumps every 999 light year pathing. Feel free to do the math. It was an insane amount of jumps and no where near as far out as they can be. I have barely done anything with Engineering. I got to experience a few neutron stars. My very first one was a complete accident and I enjoyed that. But by the time I got to my first black hole ever, at the end of the trip. I had no desire to hang around and enjoy the sights. I was getting sick of just traveling. I still had so far to go just to get back.

This game is great when you don't care about what you want to do. But when you have a goal you want to do. It won't be possible unless you are willing to spend every waking hour at it and have a greater chance to fail than succeed.
