I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck with ranking up and if so how and where they did it because ive done 12 hours of the same repetitive transport missions to just get 80% of the way to master. I have done everything your supposed to i'm in a system with a big population and plenty of empire factions which i'm friendly with and taking all the donation and support missions I can find for the empire factions yet i'm barely making progress to the next rank. It just feels really broken and I know it was far to easy to get ranks before 1.4 but they didnt have to make it worse by absolutely nerfing it to death so that it was almost impossible to rank up. I think im just gonna give up on the imperial courier if there is no better way of doing it as the vulture is a better ship anyway -_-. sorry for the rant but i'm really salty right now LOL.
Trying to rank up in the epire is just painfuly slow. Frontier please fix!

Ranking in Elite is basically luck based. I have the exact opposite problem, for example. My Empire-ranking is rising stupendously fast and I'm at 100% Count now, so I have to avoid Empire-systems or I get flooded with rank-up missions again.
On the other hand, I spend hours over hours trying to raise my Federal navy rank, but I barely got to Chief Petty Officer. The more missions I did for the Federation, the more rank-up missions for the Empire I got.
I have no idea if the system is bugged, or if we both just suffer from extremely bad luck.
