Trying to use a stored ship after an APEX trip

Just an FYI to all. I flew my current ship into Drexler Port (Kanooks), then took an APEX to Gibson Gateway (Cuachini) where I have several ships stored. Disembarked the APEX shuttle, walked up to the concourse then Inter Astra's shop. Accessed my stored ships and tried to use one. Not happening. System claims that my current ship, the one back in Kanooks, has cargo. There was nothing in the cargo holds, but numerous items such as engineering raw materials were onboard.

So, I guess that you can't use the APEX service to pop over to a system with a stored ship and make said stored ship your current one. Would have been an interesting way to manage my ships.

Now, if I can just figure out how much the APEX shuttle cost me...

Took APEX back to Kanooks ($7K+ fee) and boarded my current ship. Surprise!!! Three limpets in the cargo hold. Now, they weren't there when I left my ship to travel to Cuachini via APEX.

Then again, towards the end of the mining operation I was doing prior to all this APEX travel, the game kept telling me that my cargo hold was full with 125T of ore when my max capacity is 128. I'd used up or abandoned all my limpets by the time I was done mining, so they should all have been gone from the cargo hold. I guess the game mechanics somehow lost track of what was in my cargo hold.

Anyways, now I have to decide if I want to pop over to Cuachini, again, to test grabbing a ship. Well, that will be tomorrow...

Yeah, there are several bugs that can occur with limpets. I once ended up with infinite limpets which was frustrating because I was trying to use them up to fill the last of my hold with ore, but no matter how many times I fired them, ejected them or abandoned them I still had more!

So, I just travelled from Kanooks to Cuachin via APEX, headed to the concourse and Inter Astra and, voila, I was able to make one of my stored ships current. For some reason it needed some fuel and minor repairs (paintjob), but otherwise was good to go. All of my suit loadouts were available. All of my Materials and Encoded Materials were there as well... Aren't said Mats supposed to be on the ship I left in Kanooks? Did I actually transport via APEX all that stuff as well?

Let me make that clear. I did NOT have to fly my current ship back to where my home station was in order to transfer to a stored ship. My Krait is docked at Drexler Port in Kanooks. I've just boarded the Asp Explorer I had stored at Gibson Gateway in Cuachin.

Anyways, heading out in my Asp Explorer to find who knows what.

P.S. If you use APEX to travel to Hutton Orbital, can you still pick up your mug?
