General / Off-Topic Tube goes totally PC crazy!

Tourists hoping for a "British" feel to travelling on the Tube (underground) are going to wonder if their plane arrived at the wrong place.

All announcements will now be gender-neutral and in particular "Ladies and Gentlemen" becomes "hello everyone".

Shall we just get them to say "Have a nice day" to really muck things up?

It's been a while since I was on the tube and confess; I don't remember them saying "ladies and gentlemen" in the first place.

The vaguely sinister "MIND THE GAP" is the only bit I really remember. Hadn't occurred to me that "Ladies and Gentlemen" would now be pleasingly archaic. But I guess they're both about being polite.

That is simply going to offend individualists who cannot self-identify as an "everyone" :(
It is interesting to know how the staff are briefed to address individuals. They want to attract some ones attention, so do they now have to shout, 'Oi YOU!'.

It would like a ticked? who? It! It would also like to go to the bathroom, where is it? what It, who? sorry I'm confused \0/

This driver was sent to a re-education camp on the Scottish border. His fate remains unknown.
