Tukys Orca Sea

So, actually I am rather a breeder and not a builder (never have been, for neither zoo game and not even for The Sims) But today I found something in the workshop, which really motivated me to do something - my Orca Sea

Its just not really ready yet and looks pretty ugly considering what you guys can built, but please dont be too harsh with your critique, as the building system and I are still not friends^^ I also need to decorate it and all that, and some things didnt work like I wanted it to.

But I still want to show it^^

Now I only need to make it look pretty and get "real" pixel orcas and my dream would come true Those fake orcas already look quite amazing, can you imagine how awesome actual PZ orcas would be

But honestly I have to say that the size of the habitat alone would make it pretty hard to work well in the game, I guess it would be too much for the keepers and the guests aswell... but however, I still want orcas in the game

Looks amazing. I was skeptical of whales and dolphins in game at first but it looks right at home in game.

Thanks! Though I know it still looks very plain. But I am not sure if I should even try too hard with it. Afterall its neither certain they will even add orcas nor that should they do so, it will work with this kind of habitat. But yesterday I had fun getting started with it.

The person who made these orcas did very well, I think. You sure see they are "fake", but with some distance they look totally "real".

Yes, I did. The water is clean. I guess it looks that way because its soo much water. And its pretty deep so less light goes there.

When I saw the first screenshots in this thread I was wondering for a moment if I missed any announcements about orca's... Until I realised that they are fake.

Nice work, it looks like a large pool for the orcas, although obviously they will be the happiest when they can freely swim around in the oceans.

I like it but I think the Floor and maybe the Outside of the Tank should be a bit better designed. I really like the Orcas. I'm trying to create one too but there are some Difficulties to let them look good

Thanks, I tried to make it as big as possible. For real life I would agree with you, but this is a game and I think the only morally right way to keep them captive, is keeping them captive in a game, so I dont see a problem here And I have to agree with Kaan, you could prettymuch say this for all animals... but hey, I actually dont want to discuss that here at all^^ It just feels so weird people always single out orcas, while ignoring other animals also often suffer in captivity...But yeah, as I already said - please no argument about it here, just wanted to let that out, but now we can let it go

Yeah, you are right! I still have a lot to do with it, but I dont know if I ever will finish it, though. Lost my motivation with it pretty quickly, actually. And some things did not work the way I wanted them to, so that was a pity.

Oh, personally I would even have problems to make them look like orcas at all I am very thankful for the person who did them.

So, its kinda unbelievable, but I sarted to work on it again^^ It still dosent look very pretty though, but thats because I am unskilled and uncreative I guess it will take ages until I am done - hopefully I can use it in the future, even if only in sandbox^^ The outside of the tank still is untouched and ugly, but so far I dont know really what to do with it

I added some watereffects, enrichment items (which I think could technically work for orcas) and more stones to make it look more natural inside. I used moss stones as you can easily pretend they are alga/seaweed

The water area, I wish it would show volume, though

Just for information, these orcas are actually way bigger than real orcas would be^^ They are about 20 meters long and pretty huge. "Real" orcas would be less than half as long.

I like the Idea with the Moss Rocks. It must be hard Work to let such a big Tank look good. I started to work on a Tank where hopefully Bottlenose Dolphins will live one Day and that Tank is only 24000m² big. I think you will be able to let it look good
