wich planets ? how do I find the right one ? ive done a lot of surface mining and never seen tungsten
sry cant rember were it is pops up here and there look for a gold metal cone
I did find some on PARUN 3C and on the planets around there but it is hard to find hope this helps

It is no myth that tungsten may be found in some asteroids.
Going through my records, I've found it in the A ring of HIP 104504 1, and even some in a belt cluster out near the North America Nebula (North America Sector DS-Z a14-4 A belt cluster 6). Pristine is not mandatory (but is beneficial if you're after painite).

Type Tungsten into the Material Finder box and your current system into the Reference System box and it'll find planets near you with tungsten in em. Sort by the Ref column and look down the 'W' column - you should find something over 2% within a reasonable range.

Tungsten used to be fairly easy to mine in Rocky rings. But the material spawns were later nerfed very heavily.
I've done a fair bit of mining lately, but haven't found tungsten at all. Granted, not much on my mining has been in rocky rings.

I just got loads of Arsenic, Tin and Yttrium from Deciat 4 - I landed in the big crater just on the edge and made my way in. Also not far is Skardee V, which is a very good prospecting planet for the following....
