Thank whatever deity you believe in for the frontier forums, the nonsense I get from other kickstarter games forums is unbelievable (Talking to you Godus)

I Should have researched Peter Molyneux better, The only game designer I know the name of is the almighty Dave! and I knew that name back in 1984 .. if you are thinking of supporting Godus ... Wait ... Even though it is advertised as Beta it is only in early Alpha ... So, All hail the mighty Frontier for their great work and communication ... and of course ... honesty.

I have hesitated to back it during the KS campaign but with all other project to back, I haven't backed it.

I used to play Populous, but the designer's name wasn't really "big" at any time, I think.

There are only a few "big" enough names to be known by me: Braben&Bell, Richard Garriott, Sid Meier...

Peter Molyneux is well known for promising 'the moon on a stick', if you're lucky you'll get a pretty moon shaped balloon on a stick which may be very cool and amazing but it's never quite what was originally promised.

Peter Molyneux was certainly a big name. Bullfrog produced some amazing games including Populous, Syndicate, Magic Carpet, Dungeon Keeper. He then founded Lionhead which came up with Black & white and Fable. His biggest problem is way over promising, he makes his games sound incredibly cool and cutting edge and then when you finally play the thing it's lacking in a lot of features that he had previosly promised! He was also the King of slippage and his titles never seemed to come out on time.

It will be interesting to see if he can pull Godus around because it's been receiving some pretty hefty criticism.

I hope you guys caught the Pirates! remake a "few" years ago? It was very fun as well! :)

Yep, I've still got it somewhere, It was good and captured the spirit of the originals pretty well.

Speaking of it, it seems to be on Steam sale with Halloween titles at 2,49€.

Cannot figure out what pirates have to do with Halloween, but...
