Newcomer / Intro Turn off jump lines in galaxy map?

Hi all,

I've made it to colonia finally (and bought myself a Type 6 to take part in the CG), but something's really been bothering me about the galaxy map. Is there any way to turn of the blue lines that show which systems you can jump to? Currently when I look at the map it's nigh on unreadable because of all the lines coming out showing where I can go.

EDIT: found out I can just click the route planning thingywhatsit. It looks like a radio button so I naturally assumed that it was a toggle and could not be switched off.

Also if you check the right-most tab in the galaxy map, there are several tick boxes you can play with.

Just one-click on the plot box (diamond) where you select fastest or economical plotting. Doing that will uncheck the box and the lines disappear, Your plotting will still use the last selected option.

Thanks! That finally made sense and I've been able to turn the damned things off! And I've been playing for years!

Nope - spoke too soon! Still can't get rid of them - I'm on PC...

Note that removing the spider-lines disables the Jet-Cone boost feature in the route planner - it becomes dimmed so you think it still works but it doesn't.

@Susanna - the action of clicking again in the selector for Fastest Routes (or Economical Routes) should turn off the blue spider-lines - it acts like a toggle for the lines as well as a selection for the mode - looks like a "radio button" but isn't really. If yours doesn't then it is a bug (which I have not heard of before).

BTW - I just checked in-game to make sure this hasn't been broken by the update and it hasn't.
