Turning bounty vouchers over to "the Blaster"

I'm at Trophy Camp and trying to turn my bounty vouchers over to him to start getting some of his stuff. I need 100000 of them, and I have more than that each of Empire, Federation and Alliance bounties.

I can't turn any of them over. I can't change the donation amount to any more than 0, so I can only assume that I don't have the ones that he wants.

Whose bounty vouchers do I need? It doesn't say, so I just figured that any bounty vouchers will do. Seems not.

You don't set the amount yourself. You just press the 'Donate' button. If this is to initially unlock him I believe it can be any bounties, Not combat Bonds.
After that I believe it needs to be Tod specific bounties to increase your level with him.

Are you sure you have enough Bounty vouchers ? I did that yesterday and it worked for me, you need BOUNTY vouchers, so all you have to do is go kill WANTED ships, when you have enough Vouchers, go to Trophy Camp and donate them to the guy, I had my Bounty vouchers in Federal Space so I don't really think you need special ones.

Cheers for the replies, guys.

I'm definitely having a problem, then. I go on to Engineer's Workshop, click Donate, and then I see DONATE 0 and BACK and I can't change the amount upward.

They are definitely bounty vouchers that I have - about 400000 each for Empire, Alliance and Fed; I haven't been in a combat zone for months.

Sigh. I feel a ticket coming on again...

I wonder if it has to be major faction bounty vouchers.

When I visited, I had a total of 290k in fed bounties (so pooled into one) and no minor faction vouchers.
I used that and it only took the amount required.

Definitely sounds like a bug. I donated my 100000 to unlock him off of a 200k+ bounty for Federation. After the donation, the bounty was still in my transaction list and looked unchanged. However, when I cashed it in later, it only gave me the amount minus the 100k he took.

After he is unlocked, I think he only takes Alliance bounties in order for you to gain rep with him. That's what I read elsewhere and it worked for me. However, I ran into another bug. He's supposed to refer you to another engineer when he you get to L3 rep with him. I did that via some mods followed by bounties. No referral. Later, I came back and did more mods and suddenly I got the referral to the new engineer. Weird.

I don't think the squashed all the engineer bugs yet.

You know you have to earn the bounties in his system? You can't carry them in from somewhere else.

Not true. My initial unlock was with bounties I earned far away from his system.

The rep I've gained with him by turning in Alliance bounties was also not earned in his system.

Wait, what??
I know you can turn in any 100k worth of bounties for the initial unlock, but gaining rep beyond that i thought had to be "the blaster" specific bounties.
I've tried handing in all sorts of bounties from the local system and elsewhere since i unlocked him, and didn't gain a single rep point with him. :(

Nah. I'm completely stuck. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

He's affiliated with the Alliance, so he wants bounties for the Alliance for rep gain. I found that information on Inara's site and tested it; it works. I figured he might take local bounties from his system as well, but I never tested that.

I know for the exploration engineers the influence doesn't show right away, you have to log out and log back in then it appears, maybe it's the same with the bounties?

Then I better file a bug report. I've turned in several hundred K worth of alliance bounties, and didn't gain an ounce or rep.
I also re-logged to check and still nothing. :(

$249k in Alliance bounties took me from level 2 to level 3 with him. HOWEVER, he didn't immediately refer me to the next Engineer (one that does armor/hull reinforcement, I think). I had to several more level 2/level 3 mods and then suddenly he referred me. So I think this engineer has a lot of rep bugs.
