Turning orbit lines OFF for goodq

I never liked the planets being pulled on strings but kept it on for those dive-n-scoops. Once I realized there is an "impact" sign at the top right corner that alerts me if I'm heading towards the exclusion zone, I turned it off and never looked back.

I don't know about you guys, but for me it's much better for immershun. :)

I just don't see any reason for them, though I appreciate the reasons others have given, each his/her own.

It's just more junk/clutter in my field of view :)

Installed ED, got out of the space port, thought "what are all these horrible lines everywhere?" Google fu'd, turned them off, not missed then one little bit! :D

I have flown without them since day 1 in the game. For me, it really does break immersion. My friend on the other hand keeps his on because he can't fuel scoop without them (he didn't say that but I'm sure it is, lol).

Personally I wish they had a more selective option.
Orbit lines, are annoying.
But turning them off, also removes things I do make use of, namely, borders such as when you are too close to an star when scooping, or were the borders are for when you will enter orbital cruise.

You do know you can assign a key to turn them on and off at will right?

I have mine on 9 on the numberpad and flick them on and off as required (mostly off)

The only line I would like to keep is the impact limit line of stars. It helps a lot avoiding dropping out of SC while fuel scooping.
Unfortunately they cannot be turned off separately. :(
