Turreted Multi-Cannons do not engage hostile Target

Managed to upgrade to the new power play version of ED today (1.3.0 I think) and I've noticed that the two (F2) turreted multi-cannons on my Python do not engage hostile targets. Before I raise a ticket has anything changed in the settings that might be causing this? Has anyone else noticed the same? I have the turret fire mode set to 'Target Only'. This is using the PC version of the game. All was working fine prior to this update.
 
I think turrets now have to be assigned to a fire group at all times in order to fire, and you use the trigger button to toggle them on / off.
