Turreted Weapons Question

Hey Devs, so I had a question (other people can answer too), is there a way to make turreted weapons less autonomous and more player controlled other then via the three settings in the right side functions?

I say this because I would like to be able to tell my turrets when to fire and when not (i.e. when the target is surrounded by cops/other clean opponents and my turrets strike them, giving me bounty, and thus making me return to a station or face overwhelming cops). Even if they track, as long as they don't fire unless I pull the trigger.

Either that, or balance the bounty system or set a bounty threshold before cops start assaulting you, something that would make dogfighting less a chore when surrounded by other ships.
