Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightstick

Anyone got any experience or news on this? I've just bought the VelocityOne Flightstick and am hoping a recognised/default mapping is coming to Elite Dangerous as it has for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

It really shouldn't be that hard to setup bindings. I have the Thrustmaster TCS Hotas and not much is the standard key binds. If you know the game, the rest is easy.

Hi,

I have just bought the Velocity One Flight Stick.
Here is a link to my bindings which I have backed up in Google Drive.

Turtle Beach Velocity One Flight Stick bindings

Extract the bindings in the provided Zip file to "C:\users\%username%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings" if you would like to use them. Refer to the following article for more info: https://customersupport.frontier.co...955062802-How-to-back-up-your-custom-bindings
I know this is an old post. Do you have any updated keybinds for this? Thanks.
Edit: I've gone through the bindings myself. Using gamepad tester to find what button number is what. its on EDrefcard titled https://edrefcard.info/binds/xwnfrd its a work in progress.

Hey @ajg007 , just wondering what you needed to do to get the stick recognised. Nothing shows up in the drop down when trying to select a preset. Using blank still doesn't register any flight stick input. I'm sure the stick is recognised in windows cause i can see it in the joystick settings cpl app. I've been through every single preset and none of them register any axis.
What am i missing here? Can't be that difficult.

Most controllers don't have a preset. tbh, the presets aren't particularly useful except as a starting point for customising your binds anyway. If the stick works you just start setting your binds to whatever control you want on the stick, the binds will then be saved as "custom". You could try starting with generic stick or keyboard as a starting point for your binds.

Have you changed the setting from xbox to pc using the on screen display? Other than that, you might need to update the firmware?

Managed to work it out, it was the steam controller somehow disabling the signal. Once i disabled the team controller everything was detected correctly.
There's still no preset, but at least now the controls are detected when i move things around.
Thanks all.

Hey there. I've tried to download the file but it seems to have gone... any chance I could get it?

How did you go with setting it up? I've only just returned to ED and trying the stick for the first time...

The Flightdeck looks like a great product. It certainly has good looks and plenty of controls.
I was tempted to get one but I looked at the reviews and they aren't great. Most of the complaints from reviewers are minor but the ball-and-socket type gimbal is the reason I stopped considering it.
I'm curious to hear from ED players though. How is it working for you in ED? How's the fine control near the stick center?
Has it been reliable for at least a few hundred hours?
