Tutorial: Making custom angled buildings

In Planet Coaster 2 the minimum angle snap for stuff like scenery items can not be changed in the config because it will automatically overwrite the config when you restart the game. It will automatically go back between 11.25 degrees or 45 degrees. If you want to make custom angled buildings or scenery like a pentagon (5 sides) you would need 5 angles of 72° (5 sides of 72° degrees = 360° which is a full circle). You can do a workaround by changing the track angle snap instead of the scenery angle snap by dividing 72 by 2 which leaves you 10 sides of 36°

Step 1: Close your game/close steam
Step 2: Navigate to C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Planet Coaster 2\steamid\config\game_remote.xlm
Step 3: Change <TrackEditAngleSnapValue>45.000000</TrackEditAngleSnapValue> to <TrackEditAngleSnapValue>36.000000</TrackEditAngleSnapValue>
Step 4: Save and restart steam/your game
Step 5: Now when ingame, build a simple coaster station like so with a turn of 72 degrees (2x36)° while trying to keep the turn and station the same length (12m for optimal precision):

Step 6: Build on station grid (align scenery with station) and build 3 walls like so:

Step 7: Build on station grid (align scenery with station again) and basically repeat this all 5 times:

Step 8: Once you are done you have a perfect pentagon shape:

Step 9: Remove the coaster, flatten terrain and start building your perfect pentagon!

Note: It's best to keep the station and the turns the same length for perfect symmetry.

I just noticed that when changing the snap angle in the config, the option from the UI disappears for some reason. So I would advice to change it to <TrackEditAngleSnapValue>0.250000</TrackEditAngleSnapValue> because this will give you the best and most precise control over everything so you dont have to keep changing your config every time because it will just move by 0.25 degree angles every time so you can make pretty much any angle you want without having to keep changing your config every time.
