Twin Sisters searching for the unknown.
My name is Laura Townsend and I am slowly making my way out to beagle point as part of the Distant Worlds expedition, my twin sister had the exploring bug when we were younger whilst I had a head for business.
After our parents died in a pirate attack, we inherited their life insurance policy and decided to move to Kippax Ring to start a new life seeing agricultural products. I started by renting a warehouse unit whilst my sister acquired a sidewinder and brought in products to sell, it wasn’t long before the call of unknown space called to her and she bid far well and headed out for deep space.

I suppose I should introduce myself here before my sister goes all mushy on you, my name is Alison Townsend and I go by the call sign of Wishblend or Wish for short, I have actually been flying longer than Laura realises although I wasn’t hiding it from her, it was just that while she was studying for her business degree I was getting real flight experience with some of mum’s friends.
It was on one of those trips during my youthful holidays that I acquired my pilots licence and a special gift from a company that I invested with in the past, the message came out of the blue one day as I sat in Samuel Brown’s adder.
The email was from the company that I had invested in the past congratulating me for getting my pilots licence, as a reward for investing in them when they were just starting out they had used their influence to gift me two permits. One was for the Sol system and the other was for the Shinrarta Dezhra, more commonly know as the founders system, with those two permits at the start of my career I quickly raised enough credits to upgrade to my faithful Asp that I christened Red Signal.
I joined the First Great Expedition when it was being founded and helped pioneer some of the routes using my pathfinder skills, so when the idea of the deep space communications array was first suggested I jumped at the chance and signed up for the programme of upgrading downed navigation beacons into nodes for the array.
After a few months the pathfinders of the FGE had created the basic array and it was announced to the exploration community as coms for the FGE, my sister contacted me not long afterwards to tell me about the Distant Worlds expedition and that she wanted to take part, so I surprised her by telling her to go to a storage hanger in Kippax Ring for her early Christmas present from me.

Mushy indeed Alison, I don’t get mushy, I am just sensitive to certain to certain things besides you have talked to the reporter long enough. As Alison said she gave me an early Christmas gift when I told her of my desire to join the Distant Worlds expedition but even then I was pleasantly surprised at what was in the storage hanger, it was Red Signal the asp that she had used for such a long time and I had no idea that she was no longer using it but I wasn’t complaining as it was a nice little ship.
With it I joined the distant world’s expedition and in the FGE backed follow on fleet to make sure that the cmds struggling to keep up with the main fleet would still have a support of the expedition, I was a little surprised that she didn’t join me but I guess that she has her sights focused on something as she can be driven when she sets her sights on a specific goal. At this time I am have just left my fellow explorers at the distant world’s waypoint 17 and some of the friends and sights I have met along the way are memorial and as I am over halfway through the journey I am looking forward to what lays ahead.
***
So Alison, why didn’t you join your sister as part of the distant world’s expedition?
***
Well Paul, I didn’t join her because I am already on an exploration expedition although it has not been as advertised as the distant worlds one was, it is called the Sagittarius-Carina Mission and I have been working on building my funds while awaiting for it to relaunch after its hiatus during the Distant Worlds expedition, as such I will be setting out in my brand new anaconda that I call Red Fire in the next few weeks to circu-navigate the galaxy to search for the unknown.
***
You never told me that Alison, If I knew that I might have taken part of that one instead.
***
No problem Laura, as it has been planned that the route can be travelled in either direction so you can join the expedition when you reach beagle point.
***
So I take it you will met each other out in the depths of deep space sometime in the coming year, will you both keep me informed of your journeys.
***
Yes I will, what about you Laura?
***
Yes I will as well
