Two Challenges

I don't think I'll get around to actually doing these anytime soon, myself, so I figured I'd present the ideas to the community-at-large.

1) Analemma. An analemma is the figure-eight shape the sun (in particular) makes if you take a picture at the same time each day looking at the same spot.

Goal: find a suitable planet (ideally one whose orbital period is small, axial tilt is nonzero, not tidally-locked, and rotational period is an even period of Earth days to assist taking the shot at the same local time each rotation) and capture an analemma.

2) Travelling the cosmos. Traverse a significant fraction of the galaxy, taking a screenshot each jump pointing in the same direction and having the same orientation.

Goal: compile these screenshots into an animation.

(This one seems like it would be a lot easier to achieve.)
