The say Planet landings and walking about on the ship will be part of the DLC. I'm assuming it will be like Mass effect. Will we be able to have an xbox controller for PC for the moving in addition to the saitek 52 to be used for flight control.

I'd expect the already excellent flexibility of the bindings UI to only increase as more stuff is added.
As Adam says you can already bind multiple controllers, I don't think there's actually a limit. I've bound everything I could get plugged in once.

True, and you can use both of them in ED. I'm trying to get used to a PS3 controller, until I get fed up with the thing and learn it how to fly, and continue with mouse and keyboard.
