Two Copies Of ELite Dangerous On One PC?

Hi Guys,

I bought two copies of Elite Dangerous a while back now, one for me and another for my 12yr old son. He's only every played the game on his own pc. Is it possible for him to sign into his account from my computer to play the game?, reason I ask is that his PSU died on him and he can't play until the new one arrives, which will be few days yet

Suggest you read the EULA but you can sign-in in the game launcher each time with a different account so i guess it can work...

Hi, thanks for the reply, why would there be any issues with the EULA?, both are purchased from the Frontier online store...

You can both sign in without issue, each time you change login you will need e-mail verification code. I do this with my son occasionally.

Hope you use the same HOTAS or Kb/M profile as a bit late to transfer your appdata file or he will have to use your mapping. (make a backup :))

Thanks Sugarat, just the person I was looking for, tried and tested :)

You guys are very helpful, thanks I never thought of that. Now how do I back up the profile?, or should I say where is it?

That would be too much trouble for me. How about creating a second windows user and using another installation?

C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings. Hidden windows file use show hidden files/folders in windows.

I haven't tried, but if it were me I'd give it a go with a second windows user account. I imagine you would avoid the verification key and having to backup the controls.
