I've had both of these pack ideas on my mind for a little while, and I thought it was finally time to share them. Obviously this is not meant to be a realistic prediction of official DLC we could expect, just a bit of island fun.
First up is the Sulawesi Pack.
This is definitely the "least likely" of the two (as if that means anything here) because not only does it contain no star species, but the island's most iconic animal, the North Sulawesi Babirusa, came with the Southeast Asia DLC. However, Sulawesi is such an unappreciated biological marvel, the largest island in Wallacea and therefore a unique mixing pot between the biota of Asia and Australia, and as such I can't help but wish we had more species from it in the game. Additionally, a Sulawesi Pack would bring with it a uniquely South-east Asian architectural set (Tongkonan, the island's most iconic) that is difficult to replicate with the pieces we have in game at the moment, and could also double up as compensation for those who wished for scenery in the animal pack. It's not a realistic style for a zoo, but neither are some of the other themes we've gotten, and it could provide some very interestingly shaped pieces.
Then there's the Tasmania Animal Pack
While still unlikely at best, creating an animal pack centered specifically on Tasmania would appeal in two different ways. First of all, it would heavily help patch up the holes in the Australian habitat species roster by including a host of highly requested animals - platypus, devil, wombat, wallaby etc. The only major absences would be a tree kangaroo and the emu (which would have been included if the island's endemic subspecies hadn't been driven to extinction in the 19th century). Secondly, Tasmania is far enough south to be a rather cool island, with the central highlands even being classified as subpolar in climate (tundra on the highest peaks), and therefore the roster is full of cold climate species. Perhaps not the cold climate species most people were after, but non-tropical representation nonetheless.
In addition to the scenery signs for each species (likely modeled after the Australia Pack for consistent theming), this pack would also come with a statue of the Thylacine similar to that of the Dodo in the base game to honour one of the most evolutionarily distinct species driven extinct by humanity. It'd also be optimal for some new foliage to be added alongside in a free update, such as Buttongrass, Mountain Ash, Southern Beech, Huon Pine and Pandani, because it'd be very hard to replicate much of Tasmania's distinctive landscape just with the plants we have now.
