Two mouse cursors on screen?

For a few weeks now I've noticed I've got two mouse pointers on screen when using the OR in ED. I see the "game" pointer and then there's a brighter Windows pointer some constant distance from it. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks. (Hardware cursor is off and un-selectable in the ED graphics options.)

I had this issue before as well. I couldn't find the original thread about it, but the workaround is quite simple and worked for me.

Right after you click the play button at the ED launch window, move your mouse cursor to your OR screen (assuming you are in extended ) that you're able to see the cursor when looking through the OR. After the game loads up and the warning screen comes up, click the "OK" button with the mouse cursor (this step not always necessary). You should only have the one cursor now.

Have the same bugs for months now. This trick right above don't work for me and I tried it several time. As I wasn't sure I also tried to click when the pointer was in the DK2 screen. No more success (with or without clicking), still have the 2 pointers, MS and FD ones...
