Two new Moderators

Hi everyone,

With all of the extra traffic we have been getting since the Kickstarter announcement it is high time that we added a few more moderators to the forum. So please welcome Geraldine and Steve O B Have to the moderator team!

Both of our new moderators will be helping us maintain the friendly atmosphere we currently have on the forums and will be available to help out with site-specific queries you may have. As we begin to welcome even more people to the community, hopefully we can all work together to make this forum the best community and resource possible! :)

I don't think that it's going to be a difficult place to moderate, pretty much everyone here are already a cracking bunch of people with a mutual respect that is rarely seen on forums. I'm glad to be able to help out as best I can.

I have to say it was unexpected, but like Steve, I am happy to help out Ashley and the other Frontier folks with the forum.

:D A bit late for that now Spacegamer, besides, knowing how powerful you are in the field of google-fu, its likely you will know far sooner than the whole lot of us put together! :D:D

If you doubt me people, just check out all the scoops Spacegamer has over at the SSC. :cool:

Honestly, Steve & me are just helping the Frontier folks out with running the forum because it's so busy these days, but want to know what I think?

Ok, here goes.....

What's needed are all those great ideas from the forum to get the word out and to keep those pledges coming in. What you write in these forums is being noticed and does help, remember folks you cant have Elite without first having an Elite community around it and a strong and united one at that. The community is (and always will be) central to this campaign, David knows this, the people at Frontier know this, you know this.

All in all, this forum has always been a hot bed of ideas, views and suggestions: the kickstarter needs this, it needs YOU!!!

So keep those ideas coming in, keep spreading the word. Every person you help bring to the kickstarter page takes all of us that much closer to what we have dreamed of all these years, a brand new and amazing Elite game :)

Ashley can I say a big thank you to Frontier for inviting Steve and Geraldine to be moderators. There are several others who have been stalwarts on the forum over the last six years, but Steve and Geraldine richly deserve their new status.
I fully understand the emphasis on kickstarter contributors, so it's even more pleasing to see Elite's long-term supporters recognised.
We all all rooting for you!
