Ok so, upon seeing the Bornean elephant, I have two main things I'd like to say
1. While the sculpting quality is quite good, I feel the model itself has some flaws, mainly being a bit too similar to an Indian elephant as well as the eyes being overly sunken. The best way I can describe it is that Bornean elephants are more baby faced than their mainland cousins, which is something you see a lot in animals with relatives that underwent dwarfism (that expression of neotenous traits). It should be a fairly simple model edit to rectify this as, overall, the model quality is quite good, especially the sculpting work.
2. With all that being said, and given the aging quality of the base game models, the Bornean elephant would be absolutely perfect as an asset to remaster the Indian elephant model. This model already resembles a mainland elephant quite well so the process wouldn't be too taxing and a lot of players would be quite excited for another remaster after the Malayan tapir.
As for the animal itself, while I think there were far better inclusions for an Asian animal (especially a gaur or banteng) and even a clone (Asiatic lion, Sumatran tiger, or green peafowl) but I'm not gonna seethe over it
