I just spotted the second reference (that I've seen, there may be others) to this "Two snakes" riddle. Is it just a reference to Conan and is it all solved and done with?
Here's the riddle as posed by Anthony Ross:
"Have you seen a standard... a symbol... perhaps on a shield? Two snakes coming together... Facing each other! But they're one!"
I was just wondering because a lot of the ships are named after snakes, and I was thinking how cool it would be to be flying in deep space, when all of a sudden you come face to face with an identical ship, just floating in front of you. Not firing, just... floating there, peering back at you. Then, you slowly realise... it's you.
Perhaps the other ship is your doppelganger and you're peering into a parallel universe/dimension. And this is where they collide. Probably where the Thargoids would sprout from too
Probably nonsense but it just popped into my head and I thought it would be pretty creepy and amazing at the same time. The idea doesn't really work though I admit because it mentions a shield too... Hmmm, maybe that could refer to some kind of barrier between the dimensions. Maybe the UA could be the key to opening it and letting ships pass through (uh oh...). I guess I'm just rambling so I'll shut up now
