Two stations with the same name but from different systems.

I noticed that there are two space stations called "GIDZENKO RING", one in CHAMUNDA and the other in LTT 7543. Could this be the result of the whole procedurally generated universe running of names for the space stations?

Does it really matter, Most of America is made up from pinched names from the old world ;) (yes in some cases they put the word NEW in front of it for clarification)

its human nature to reuse names so duplication is bound to happen. here are three off the top of my head but i'm sure there are more examples scattered about the globe: Plymouth, Paris, Boston.

two station with the same name isn't a problem as long as they are in different systems, two systems of the same name however would be an issue

Srry, the second Gidzenko Ring is in LTT 7453, not 7543. Anyways, are all the names of these stations also procedurally generated?

Hum. Let see There a Pasadena TX, Pasadena CA My guess a few more else where. California (state) and California City. New York (state) New York (City). So it could happen.

not all of them, there are a lot of systems named after those found in previous elite games plus at least 20 that were named by backers as part of the kickstarter pledge rewards.
