I got hyperdicted by two Thargoids and they appeared to be broken. Well, they followed me around but that was it. No scanning, no hostile acts when I flew closer and they didn't bother to check out any goods that I dropped. I didn't want to risk shooting at them so that's the one thing I DIDN'T test.
