I first played Elite on the ZX Spectrum, then again on the Atari ST. Then Frontier on Atari ST and Falcon.
I love this game!
The minute I saw Elite
angerous on Steam and then that it was the original and not just another phail attempt at duplicating its magic, you sold me my Copy.
Braben and Bell invented the space sim and have never been bettered. I owe you guys so many happy hours of game play and a lifetime of positive addiction
BTW It was first published by Acornsoft on the BBC Micro in September 1984 ??
Really? I would swear I remember reading the manual my friend brought in to our primary 7 class room in in 1978/9. Guess it must have been a pirate copy?

Now I'll go log in for the first time and play the game I have no doubts at all is going to rock my socks off.
