If I keep my shields what's the max? So far I've got it to 176.

this is correct im running it now but i do prefer this link for a ship guild as it shows how much upgrades will cost and gives you a min/max shield layout

i will say the repair and refueling cost for a type 7 is very low, i run no shield in open play and even when interdicted i can get away, max repair is only around 6k or fly it in Solo no shields if your a little worried but yes you should be getting 2-2.5 mil per hour in a type 7.

Yep, I run mine at 216. I just use it for credit runs between two systems, and don't often get interdicted, but I like to keep my shields to give me SOME chance of escape if I do. That cargo space gives me 290k profit one way, and 77k on the way back. Good enough for me and on the balance of things I value the little bit of security the shields give me compared to an extra 16 tonnes of cargo capacity.
I put 3 PDT turrets and a Chaff Launcher on this, is it worth putting turrets in the weapons hardpoints?
