Some passenger missions like Robigo favor the use of medium size ships. I was curious how the Type 8 would compare to the Python.
The Python can carry one more cabin and potentially take one more mission. I think that for Robigo, the Python would still have a slight advantage since I can take one more mission and generally don't need the really large cabins. For Robigo, I use supercruise assist and landing computer, no shield. My Python holds 92 max passengers in 8 cabins which would generally allow for 8 missions. The Type 8 would hold 100 passengers max and allow for 7 missions. I think the extra cabin and extra mission would give the Python the edge.
Rescue missions or others which would use all economy cabins favor the Type 8 as it has more overall capacity. With a size 5 shield, the Type 8 holds 24 more passengers which would give it the edge.
