Check out the Big Rig ship kit, it really finishes off the ship. Adds some detail to the rear which was a bit lacking, as well as sensors which were noticeably missing, and the cream paintjob that comes with it is a retro dream. I can't express how perfect that pack is. Someone really had a lot of fun making the ship and the kit.

Funny the OP should mention the T7.

I have this narrative in my head where the CEO of Lakon marched into the design department, waving a picture of a Krait around, and said "Dammit people! THIS is the sort of ship we should be building!"
... and the guy who designed the T7 said "Don't worry sir, I'll take care of it".

Ship kit was a surprise, really like the sat dish

Uh, excuse me. Has it been announced that this ship will go into mass production on the 29th?

I’d be happy to have the T8 drop tomorrow, but if they stick with a three month exclusivity period it will become available November 7, aka next week’s Thursday. No one ever said they couldn’t release the next one for early ARX-ess before the previous ship became available for free.

… and waiting another few days before getting one’s hands on the off-brand Krait knockoff T8 won’t kill anybody. Probably.

I believe in the stream Zac said it will be available to buy for credits only on 28th November. So that's 3 months, 3 weeks.

Having a clip would be great. The Python MKII announcement article mentions a three month period for early access. I fail to see why the T8 (which, to be sure, didn't have any timeframe specified in its release article) would not follow that same one but instead have it extended by three more weeks for... what reason, exactly?

Also note to Fdev, just providing the early access and free/credit release date from the go with the Mandalay would be great so we don't have to keep being confused about this.

My guess: It's a business decision. The release of Ascendancy and, especially, the Mandalay will draw a lot of people into the shop, and it's likely that when they see that the Type-8 is also there, some might also buy it. It's essentially free sales for the mere cost of delaying the public release of the ship by a few weeks.

Personally, even if that's the actual reason, I don't really feel negatively about it. Whatever keeps the company and, especially, the development of the game going, within reason (which I think this very definitely is).

Well, they might get me to throw down some for it, depending on whether any opportunities start coming up this week (if/once this information is officially confirmed). I am likely to wait out the Mandalay early access but already started figuring at least one purpose I’d use a T8 (and like to use it) for while it’s available as a regular gameplay opportunity.
