Thanks for that pic, in a Python at the moment trading 252cargo, but I'm thinking i need to go to a type 9. I think it will be the first ship i keep, using it to make money to buy the 2 ships I enjoyed the most over my time so far, the Asp and the Python, whilst by keeping it, always having decent earning potential when i want to make money.

Those specs will be perfect for what i want.

Use the 9 to get a Conda. The Conda is just sublime for trading...

Question for you, when you had your python, did you ever consider sticking an A6 power plant in it, lighter than the B7, and very similar power output?

Yeah, my old lightweight Python

The A5 scoop is alright but even a C6 kicks its ass.


Class is everything in upgrades on big ships.

Quality build dude.


I have used every single scoop from Class 3 to Class 6 (all ratings i havent missed a single one)

B6 is the one to go for if you can afford to give up the slot. Its only 7 mill and scoops at 752 sec

I had an A6 on the Cow for a while and that thing was insane..852/sec (but its 28 million quid to buy..)

The A5 is good on the Python and will do 562/sec. In fact i took it to the Pleaides on an A5...

so the logical Progression is to go from Python to T9 to Conda ?

I just got my Python and hell it's expensive to Maintain + Improve it.

Right now i am trading with it, but although i run it with 220 tons i get slightly less money than with my T7 before because i have to take breaks to Fuel Scoop.

How much Assets should i have before even thinking about buying the T9 ? I kind of like the Python but i guess it would be faster to get the money for equiping it by using a T9 ?

You need a 100 million for an optimal trading Space Cow (see my earlier build)

130 million if you want to put an A6 Scoop on it.


To be honest the Python is the best ship in the game, you dont need to go and do the 9 grind to the Conda unless you have a soft spot for Faulcon DeLacys finest ship..but it is worth it in the end...

Thinking of getting A6 thrusters, A6 power plant swapping the A5 shield for an A6 shield, B5 shield cell, A6 sensors, and then getting 3 fixed beams (1 class 3 and 2 class 2), and 2 class 3 gimballed multicannons for it and shooting lots of stuff before chopping it in for the type 9.

Should be fun!

Dont bother with multicannons

3 C3 Fixed beams and 2 C2 Fixed beams.

Deadliest loadout in the game (ive killed quite a lot of stuff and used every conceivable loadout)

with a unarmed trader python you can use an a3.....a2 if ya skimp and toss shield

mmmmmm, how much fire time do you get with an A7 distributor?

that said, i'm used to playing WWII flight sims, so i'm used to disciplined shooting, only get 12 seconds in a spitfire, lol.

and fixed beams in this game are a joy after being used to deflection shooting!

It can drop a Condas shields without a recharge, target the drives, melt them, kick back and pop the powerplant, 100k....


Seriously you have to try pure fixed beams. Dont go for that gimbal crap, its weaksauce.
