Type 9 and 150 mil now what

Where do I go from here? Been trying to figure out my life in space and so far I have came up empty. What should I do with myself now that I have the finance. I feel like a bored house wife in space. Any ideas what to do now?

What do you enjoy, exploration, combat, trading, pirating, mining, powerplay factions, ranking etc
Or go full circle and help new starter players, can be quite rewarding to help them learn the game and get to grips with how to play.

Basically find something you like and do it. Don't grind for credits or status unless that is something you enjoy :)

when i reached a similar position I went off to Sag A.

Believe me, after 2-3 months of emptiness, you will run back and start all over again with pew pew and trading.

I worked my way up and finally sold my FDL for what I assumed would be my end game ship, the Python. Right now I'm back in an FDL, because that's what I've had the most fun in. Honestly, when you reach that high point where money is not an issue, then you can truly start to enjoy the game.

Blow 20 mil on the best Asp credits can buy and go on the galactic hippy trail to Sag A*, once you get there flip a coin and see if you keep going or come back.

Will keep you going for a while.

My issue is I went straight to trading and haven't done anything else in the game. I haven't even done a mission.

Sigh. So you've been trading like a madman to get a bunch of credits as quickly as possible. Let me guess: you've used 3rd party tools and/or well-published trade routes to maximize in-game wealth ASAP? Assuming the answer is "yes" then you haven't played the game as intended - you certainly haven't enjoyed the experience, I'm guessing. If you want to trade "properly" you should spend time studying up and practicing how to find your very own lucrative trade route - it's actually quite a bit of fun, and takes some strategy/thinking/planning. Of course, there's bounty hunting, mining, piracy, smuggling, exploring and PowerPlay etc. as well.

It'll all be a lot easier now that you can afford to get into the biggest/best-equipped ships - and so the content will be less challenging and lot less fun. You may want to try playing in the smaller ships (more fun than the big ships; take more skill). Some might even recommend you reset your save and play the game "as intended", but that's a bit extreme. Bottom line: focus less on credits and ships, and focus instead on activities you enjoy.

This ^^ being out in the black on your own for that amount of time makes you appreciate being back in civilized space so much more..even if you do get the bug to pack up and head back up almost as soon as you land :p

Whilst you've somewhat ganked your own experience by just going for the cash (meaning that any other activity wont have any monetary sway) the good side is that you can do pretty much what you want without having to worry about making money. Assuming you've taken a quick route through the trade ships then it's time to start trying out the other more fun ships. Get a Vulture, or a Viper, grab an interdictor and do some hunting. The Sag A advice is good too, but if you haven't done exploring before I recommend first doing the nebula loop from Plaeides, via Witchhead to Horsehead/Orion and back via California checking out Mintaka along the way. With an exploration Asp you can do it quite quickly but also have the option to take your time and check out any points of interest.

You only have 150M credits? Compared to other pilots, you're a pauper.
P.S. Between ships and cash, I too only have 150M because I only get to play a few hours each week.

Buy a small fighter (viper, diamondback scout, vulture), outfit it for combat and be a hero to any newbs getting ganked at LHS 3447. The rebuy for any of those is less than a million, so with your 150M balance you can afford to get blown up a few times being space batman :)

90 percent of the replies I don't understand. I've been playing since January and I just recently discovered what rare trading was. I was thinking of getting a python and becoming a pirate I think a large bounty on myself would make the game fun. But I have no idea how the system works as far as landing on stations or going back to trading when enough ppl kill me does it reset after each death or am I always scum to the ones I hurt?

I get this feeling every now and then. It never lasts. Something always occurs to me. And pretty much everything takes ages so it just flows. I had it 3 days ago, then I noticed that Alioth has some ELW moons around a gas giant so I set out to get the permit. That took 3 days of fun. Before that I was exploring local space in a DBXP. Before that I was mining. Before that I went to the galactic core.

It's an entire galaxy, there's so much to do. You just need to snoop around, something always comes up :D

Oh, I was supposed to flip a coin? So that's what I did wrong...

Well, my dear fellow commander, if you don't understand half of the replies, there's certainly a huge amount of things for you to experience in the game before you're allowed to be bored. ;)

And yes, go shopping :D
