Type 9 and 150 mil now what

Just got into a Python yesterday. It's finally bringing me into the real money. Will have a Type 9 Heavy by the end of the week & probably & an Anaconda not too far after. Once I get the Anaconda I plan on buying one of every ship & maxing them all out. Then I'm going to park them all in my home station of Medupe City in Cubeo (Long Live Aisling BTW!), then pick up something for Exploring & just pick a random direction.

There just is no life for bored house wives in space. But bored.. makes sense as all our ships lack cryo-sleep tanks.

Your ship is your level. The essence of Elite has always been gaining credits till you can trade up to the next better ship to make even more credits.

Future expansions will raise the level cap. So don't get hung up on 150 million

Just grind more credits, 150 million go fast. And that new Corvette is probably not going to be cheap either...

So I traded in my tm (t9) auto correct messed that up. and bought an anaconda. so be on the look out of a mostly harmless anaconda trying to take you down

Enjoy the entertaining bugs perhaps? I'm currently grinding in a T9 and each time I sell something they give me more money. cr/t went up by almost 200 credits already! Another route randomly switches between 2500cr/t and 2700cr/t. Not to mention getting interdicted shortly before jumping, ending up in pulling the other ship along into hyperspace and crashing both into the next sun. I tell you, hunting bugs is enormously fun and should be sold as a feature.

I'm reaching the point where I can outfit my tradeaconda a B rated combatconda or just buy a maxed out python as a toy so I still have something to make money with. 300m in assets and I still feel broke.

Yeah, it takes about 600+ mil for Hull & fully fit A grade combat Annie. I don't think doing the same with Corvette/Cutter will be any cheaper.

Well I'm in the process of ship collecting. Buy all of the ships in the game and fully outfit them. Just because you have the biggest ship doesn't mean its the most fun or the most effective at everything. I enjoy having a variety of ships to take out. You can help other commanders, get involved in powerplay, fly out to Sag A, Interdict poor souls who cross your gaze, join the gang of space racers who speed race around stations, hunt down notorious commanders, bounty hunt in RES or combat zones, do Bulletin Board missions, try mining, do actual trading, join an online group for Elite (there are quite a few, and you can even find some on this forum - there's an entire section for it - Getting involved with the community for this game can really help bring you out of that isolated boredom state), or any number of other things.

If you really want, just take a break from the game for a week. If you don't get the urge to come back, then it's not worth your time anyway. Anyone who truly enjoys this game will want to come back to it if they spend too much time away from it.

Where do I go from here? Been trying to figure out my life in space and so far I have came up empty. What should I do with myself now that I have the finance. I feel like a bored house wife in space. Any ideas what to do now?

Well if you're already triple elite, then maybe just take a break. Come back in a few months, see what's cooking?

Fly safe ;)

150 m is not a lot in this game just now, it is only comfortable.
I own a T9 and a Python, and have about 70 m spare, but i plan on adding the anaconda to my collection.

If you want a goal, why not do the same, try get a nice collection of ships, all kitted out for various roles.

I know what the OP means. I am similarly "wealthy" and I have found that my "fun" is in swapping between my Anaconda trading barge and my fully equipped Python.
I may cred-grind for an hour or so (2 - 3 Mill profit... and I am now 55% of the way towards Elite from Tycoon) and then I swap ships and go take some BB "Kill/Merc"missions or Res site farming for an hour or two (Dangerous and 27% of the way towards Deadly). Personally I find this a suitable mix of activities and reasonably satisfying.

I tried mining, but I found it way too tedious. Exploring similarly lacking in any fun (the 20+ Second detailed scan-cycles almost drove me crazy).

Power Play (I am sorry to say) doesn't interest me in the slightest (my choice/preference) so until all my "Wingies" get bored of the mini-ladder of PowerPlay and/or have obtained their shiny new weapons I guess this is it.

But ED is still "fun" and a bit of escapism and certainly the best Space SIM ever.
