type 9 which are the best weapon pylons to put mines on

after my starting from scratch in an eagle I have enough for a T9 again. I read there is a problem with some pylons causing the mines to damage your own ship.

try to put mines on all and then fire off one by one. the ones leaving white marks are okay

Note I have never had enough money for a Type 9 so this is a bit generic.

The mine launcher kicks them out an forward so ideally they should be as far aft as possible, failing that as far above or below the centre line as possible. For example all of the pylons underneath an Asp Explorer are fine the two on top though launch the mines so they are usually destroyed by the tail fins.

If you are at full speed it is unlikely unless launching from the bow of an Anaconda that they will have armed before the stern of the ship.

I placed mine launchers on the medium hard points. The small hard point mines hit and bounce off the front of your ship and can damage shields and hull/modules when you shields are down.

if you vector your thrust away from the pylons you'll never hit them... however I realize that might be an issue in the T-9
