General / Off-Topic "Typical" demolition-derby traffic chaos on the night before Victoria Day

So I drove up to Smiths Falls on Sunday morning to visit my parent's anniversary. It was a good time to celebrate a big dinner with the rest of the family and other relatives.

That night I drove back on the 401, 407 and 400. A big mud truck passes by, doubling the speed limit, creating the longest tail-pack of speeding vehicles iv'e ever seen in the past 10 years on any multi-lane freeway. So I merge in with the pack's lane to make sure the people ahead of me get the tickets first.

The next thing you know, there's two semi-trucks beside each other and a motorbike flies past us over 200 km/h and goes in between the two semis, showing off. Okay.

And last but not least, on the 400 there's an accident up ahead and the first emergency vehicles are just pulling in. Out of nowhere while i'm in the middle lane and slowing down due to the accident up ahead, two racing pickup trucks past by me on the 1st and 3rd lane, merge into the middle lane and try to scrape each other's mirrors off in a combination of road rage and street racing. Right in front of an accident! Debris is found all over the road, so I have to slow down to make sure there's not enough shrapnel and glass to stab my tires, I also have to yield to an incoming ambulance behind me. ZOOM! An angry BMW driver flies past me and debris shoots up behind his tires, making the accident look like an active demolition derby.

Unbelievable. I should have brought my camera.

And all that while driving on the wrong side of the road ... xD

Edit: I hope nothing serious happened to anyone during that 'demolition derby' though.
