Ugh... 1st World Problems

I finally get Sirius Corp to be allied. I fly to Avik to try to get a mission for a permit but due to it being Contested, no missions. Luyten's Star, same. Procyon, same. Dang it!

It is due to a lockdown from a player group. Wish someone would make them eat so many rebuys they go bankrupt.

Keep an eye on the system state from the Gal Map. Lockdown only lasts so long and can't be immediately reinstated. You haven't lost the opportunity. It's just on hold for a few days.

Once the lockdown state is cleared, grab the permit and go to Sirius and grab the mission.

S'funny, I've been in and out of Sirius over the last week and I've never encountered any bandits in open.

I guess these revolutionary heroes must be doing their thing in a PG? [where is it]

The Truckers are in Sirius, but I doubt this is them. There was some guy with a tinfoil hat on who is running a campaign against Sirius because of modular terminals grind or something.

I'm sure the tinfoil hatter said they were blockading Qwent's base as part of their "protest".
I was in the process of wanting to apply some mod's to my Corvette's PP so I was kinda looking forward to it.... but, nothing. :(

Of all the things to moan about, in ED, the quest for 25 modular terminals hardly seems worth the effort.
It takes about an hour to complete.

After reading this and thinking for a bit, I have to say I do not understand this player's actions. Who wants to make a wager that this CMDR already HAS the Sirius permit? It's like last summer when a bunch of Open folks decided to blockade Farseer and Tod "The Blaster" but only after they had been there themselves and had gotten upgrades. Their actions, they said, were holistic and in protest of Frontier Devs. Didn't understand it then, don't now.

But, I think that any group can should be able to do stuff like this if only to put a "living galaxy" feel in the game. Is it annoying? Yeah. Is it out of Flavor of the Game? Nah. I got my big boy panti... uh, BOXERS... I meant Boxers on and can handle it. It's not a forever thing.

I got my permit mission in Procyon on saturday and Sirius was already in Lockdown then, switched instances 2 or 3 times and there it was. The same for the engineer invitation mission in Sirius. Flown to Lung for that and instantly grabbed two MT missions there plus an extra MT mission on one of the destinations from the former MT missions. So I already had 12 MTs when I visited Mr.Qwent the first time... :)

Edit - P.S.: got allied with Sirius by selling exploration data, worked like a charm, even in lockdown...
