Is the digital art book (as promised to Mercenary Edition and earlier backers) still coming?
Yes, absolutely. The team is working on it at the moment, and we’ll have more information on that for you as soon as possible.
I own Mercenary Edition, and I remember that it included a digital art book from the game. However, it was delayed, but seemingly forever. Could anyone provide information on this?
The thing is, in.. Uh.. last January I think they said that it was coming in the next couple of months, near future. Now over a year has passed. They have not forgotten about it.
One of the devs said so quite recently.
I just can't remember on what occasion.
We will get it.
I hope that they will eventually release a big paper concept art book.
I understand that the development of ED is not finished by a long shot, so a lot of concept art is still coming, but they could release a book in multiple volumes.
I'd buy all of them them.

What could make it take so long? Are they critically understaffed on the art book, or are they adding expansion concept art?

and I'm still waiting, in vain no doubt, for merc paint jobs for the other ships.
You know... I really like this business model of FD...
I think I'm gonna try it myself: So, to any of you who are still single and unhappy about it: For a very minor fee of 100 Euros per person, I promise I will get everyone of you an absolutely gorgeous spouse that meets all of your requirements for a lifelong relationship partner. Honestly!
Wanna fund my kickstarter campaign?
For the more "explicit" and specific requirements I might have to charge you extra, of course... I think you'll understand.![]()
It's weird really, it would have been a simple deal to put all the concept art we've already seen in a PDF and release it a month after release. By waiting for a year, it only makes expectations that much greater.
It must be awesome if they've worked on it for so long!
