If Frontier wanted a few quid for a nice physical version I'd be happy to oblige. Have many art books for other games (Alien Isolation, you sexy beast!) and films.

To meet expectations for such a long wait, the artbook would have to be a physical copy, not digital. It would have to be on the shiniest quality paper, bound in genuine snake leather, with chrome parts accentuating the edges.... And the first page would have to be covered in dev autographs.

So yeah. Of course it will disappoint. It is destined to.

I was in Okinura earlier today, collecting a few last minute bounties at the Hi-RES site around Okinura 8 when I saw a pirate ship (was either Viper or Cobra, think it was a Viper) with a storm-grey version of the Mercenary paintjob. I kid you not. I was teeth-grindingly jealous, it looked awesome. Can we shop at the same store pirates go to for their paint jobs please? :S

Pretty sure all backers auto get the mercenary pre order status since it was a pre order bonus.

Given up on the Mercenary Artbook. Not to mention the free ship we were promised (from the then 15 ships) that they were working on.
As well as a "host of other digital goodies" I believe the phrase went at the time. I did get a wallpaper or three and a cobra mk3 skin pack with six skins in it though.
plz FD can I haz a Python yet?
