Just like the jet age, military and civilian; the Americans have more cash to throw at it and bribe with for contracts and so they will just corner the market; again.

Deuterium - Tritium fusion may not be a viable energy source. It has massive problems, like the huge fraction of the energy release being in neutrons (80% out of memory, something in that ballpark anyway).

I need to read up on He3 fusion, as that may actually prove to be more workable.
