Ulterior Motives for Distant Worlds

Just been reading the "what shall I do after we get there?" posts in the main DW thread, so I wondered what are other people's plans?

Assuming ED get me my ship back... *cough*... my plans are already laid out:

Those who followed my path to Beagle Point will know I was looking for the furthest point *East* of the meridian to cross the 65K line. I spent the best part of the month looking for that damn point. Guess where I will be heading? I have jump boosts and I aim to use them.

There was me thinking you'd stumbled across evidence that Erimus and Kaii were engaged in some diabolical conspiracy.... Ah well.

They have.

They're in the employ of E: D

Gather the dreamers.

The lovers.

The fools.

and

kill

them.

Or is that just me?

So it wasn't just me then? ;)

I would count myself lucky to be the first to die by an alien hand. That might put an end to any lingering suspicions of my loyalties to the human race Unless people start a new theory that I faked my own ships destruction so I could quickly infect the bubble with a new cerberus plague via my escape pod.

This is a prime example of why you should say "No" kids.

Wait. A. Minute.

Every time we die, we re-awaken in a ship back in civilisation. A Resurrection Ship, if you like. That sounds eerily familiar...

Are you saying we're....we're.....

I've never seen an escape pod on my ship. Sure we see occupied escape pods everywhere...but occupied by what?

Wait, the grammar is a bit vague here. Did you mean that us "kids" should say "no"? And to what? That I shouldn't allow " kids " on this dangerous voyage like the devil-may-care starship enterprise? Or that I should refrain from reproducing since I am apparently digitally suicidal? Or that I am a kid and thus shouldn't be allowed to go on DW or represent the human race in an alien encounter?

Yes.

and if you can read this, then yes also. Oh, I we were not here

We're supposed to find the Resurrection Hub, destroy it and unlock Iron Man mode. :)

On the topic, I simply want to follow the Scutum-Centaurus arm back at a less jonky pace. My ulterior motive for that is ... that I want to cash in my exploration data (only 89 % left to Elite, yay) one day.

Ill probably continue onwards past Beagle point with what is left of the fleet until we all either die or go insane. I'm in this for the long long haul.

That's the best explanation I've heard so far. There doesn't seem to be any lore supporting how we magically appear in the station from 30klies out, no discussion by the Devs, and I'm feeling a bit more human than I did before the crash...

Often, when the hyperspace counter gets to zero, I feel like the hybrid in the pool saying "JUMP!"

I'm starting to feel like a 'Meals on Wheels' package with a subliminal rumour floating about in my cranium that the Thargoids have ordered take-out and it's only a matter of time prior to confirmed delivery......
