Seen a few various suggestions around more frequently regarding how NPC crew look like abominations of nature and such. and I agree here. which has also sparked some other ideas to diversify the NPC and Holo-Me system! and fix/ expand on some aspects of how people look.
-Holo-Me body shape customisation-
A system is added where the shape and size of CMDRs can be adjusted more effectively. for example, I have a Norwegian heritage, and as a result have a somewhat sturdy build and weight more than some of my friends combined (120kg in a good way
) so it is laughable to see my Avatar who has legs the size of my arms and a frail, anorexic body that looks as though it will shatter when I sneeze. unless it was intended that in the future everyone is malnourished, this could do with a change.
-An ethnic algorithm added to NPC crew generation-
One of the things that defines us is where we come from, our heritage. I think this is a key element that was missed when developing the random NPC crew generator, and why a lot of NPCs look like mutants. they have no identity! I suggest that certain features be put in an algorithm based on cultural origins. for example Blue (even green eyes) are more common amongst Scandinavian NPC's, nose types and facial build that are key to making other races stand out. It is our ethnic differences that define where we come from, and also what make us human.
-hair length slider-
I find some of the beards and hairstyles a little to long for me, what's wrong with being able to have a shorter goatee? or longer hair length? to be able to change this would be a nice touch!
-Additional eyewear and other features-
just more customisation options, such as glasses both futuristic and classic. also hats would be very, very nice too! they will get blown off when the canopy breaks. but other than that they make a fine statement!
If these were added we would be fixing the NPC appearance problem as well as giving ourselves more to play with in terms of personal customisation!
