Unable to access system chat

You checked the settings tab on the comms channel? Maybe the system chat is toggled off for some reason.

EDIT:
Just tried myself and I got the same as you.
When it's not tabbed I also can't use TAB to switch through channels (Team/Squadron/System and so on.)
Maybe it's server related? It worked fine yesterday.

It wasn't toggled off, I put it in a new tab intentionally cause I wasn't able to switch through chats. At least I've got others confirming this.
