Unable to install Odyssey

After update 4, I started experiencing a problem where I was unable to launch Odyssey from the launcher. Horizons worked perfectly fine.
I tried to delete the Odyssey folder under EDLaunch\Products and tried to reinstall Odyssey from the launcher. It kept giving me "Manifest checksum error".
I finally decided to uninstall everything and reinstall it. Switched off AV and Firewall.
I managed to install the launcher and Horizons, without problems. When I tried to install Odyssey it gave me the same "Manifest Checksum error".

Then I went through the process suggested here:

Tried switching off the firewall and installing Odyssey from the Launcher again. Same error: "Manifest checksum error".

untill support get back to you in the distant future

try deleting your cookies and clearing temporary internet files from internet settings > start search internet options.. or Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet options

once thats done run ED as admin - even if your account is admin, sometimes windows needs a kick in the Butt before its does what its supposed to
