Horizons UNABLE TO PAY FINE AT STATION? NO PROBLEM FOLLOW THIS TRICK.

I was at a RES when i shot an NPC then upon landing at station there was no way to pay the fine to get my wanted sign off, that is until i figured this out...this is definetly bugged and i hope eventually gets fixed. So here is a link to a video i made recreating the situation and explaining the trick to it. If you are at a RES and you shoot an unwanted NPC by mistake just follow these step, and you will be unwanted within a minute

You guys can thank me later :D

Can't watch the video right now, but you're not supposed to be able to pay the fine while you are wanted, it always worked that way. When you have a bounty on you, you must either wait for it to expire (time is indicated in the transactions tab, when it expires you have to hyperjump to another system and back in again to pay the fine), or you have to get shot, but then the bounty may become a dormant fine.

If you watch the video youll see what i mean...basically as soon as you shoot an npc that you weren't supposed to you escape the site, dock up, turn off client, turn off launcher (most important step) wait 1-2 minutes for server to reset your connection. then relaunch everything and you can pay the fine right away and continue playing, no wanted sign, no waiting , nothing.

I could barely hear what you were saying in the vid because the audio was so low, but I heard you mention not having to wait 3 days. For accidental fire you get about 6mins before the bounty automatically turns into a fine. Is it possible that the bounty turned into a fine by itself? You can see how much time it takes for this to happen by looking in the transactions tab.

To really prove your point you need to look at the transactions list. That'll show your bounty and the amount of time it has to run. As I remember for an assault on a clean ship it can be as little is a few minutes. However as wanted status does not extend beyond the system the normal procedure it just to leave the system. Your bounty will show up on a warrant scan though. Then when the bounty expires jump back in and pay the fine.

Which doesn't really save you any more time than high waking out and coming back in. The timer still ticks on and on, it just lapses while you're logged out.

I do not wait i dock right up and i shut off the gam and the client...then upon relogin its all there...takes 2 minutes and the wanted sign is gone

Its about getting rid of the wanted sign right away instead of having to wait...if you highwake and come back in security will attack you if they scan you...this is a way to bypass that.

Tested, this doesn't work.

From what I can see the 200 credit bounty expired (timer changed to "on h-jump") which is cleared by re-logging. This only works on the 200 credit bounties where the timer runs out before or during your logout. 7 Day wanted timer is still there for killing a ship..

OP next time you get wanted check your transactions, bounties have timers now before you can pay them off and require you to re-enter the system or re-load the server connection (as you did) to do so. It's not a bug.
