Horizons Unable to pay off Dormany Bounty, can't play for a week now :(

Just started playing the game again since the beta and I was farming wanted ships in a high activity resource extraction site when out of nowhere the authorities start shooting at me.

I can only assume I tagged the wrong ship and as I'm only in the starter Sidewinder I got destroyed in seconds.

I tried to go back to the site a few times not understanding what I was doing wrong, but every time I get scanned by the authorities they destroy my stock sidewinder in a matter of seconds.

I can't pay off the fine either, so I'm now stuck and have to wait 7 days in order for the bounty to be converted to a fine so I can pay it off?

Who's brilliant idea was this game mechanic? it's totally put me off playing the game again.

Any suggestions, and please don't say go somewhere else and avoid the authorities for 7 days. At this point I'm about to give up on the game again.

If you cannot pay off the fine and you don't want to go to another system, then as I see it you have 2 choices.

1) Clear your save and start again as it sounds like your not very into the game anyway.

2) Play something else
