Unable to pick faction in conflict zones

When I drop into a combat zone, I get no prompt in my messages on picking a faction, nothing at all. I've tried being as close as < 1km from the navpoint for the CZ and nothing.

I'm new to utilizing CZ's and though it use to be different, one now has to use the menu in the upper left side of the screen.

Check the first tab in the comms screen.

If the menu to pick a side doesn't pop up, just pick a target and fire on them. It'll pick the appropriate side automatically.

I'm not sure you get combat bonds if you don't actually pick a side from the menu.
