Unable to progress a sightseeing tour

I haven't seen a forum forum for passenger missions, but sightseeing is closely related to exploration so I am posting here.

I took a passenger on a 3 sight tour. I jumped to the first location went to the beacon and I have scanned it but I haven't got a notification that this part of the mission is complete.

Is there anything I need to do to complete this part of the mission?

Is it the current destination the passenger wants to go to? You need to go to them in the order the passenger asks for. It should have the orange "planet" symbol above the target if it's the current one they want to visit.
