I'm stuck with the same issue, still haven't found a way to get it to workMe and a few others are having an issue with the stand-alone launcher. When trying to run EDLaunch.exe without steam running, it prompts you for your Frontier account. After which, I log in then prompts to enter the random 4 character code. After that, I get a notice (in RED) that I need to either purchase or redeem Elite Dangerous in order to play it. I could never get past that part.
So i managed to find a solution. If you delete the FORC-FDEV-DO-1000 folder under "Products" in the game file, you can redownload the Odyssey update after launching through Steam, and it should let you start the game. i don't know if this is a permanent fix though, but you should be able to get in at least once.Had to give up for the night. Ended up watching Netflix. Dad with 3 kids, my time is precious. lol. I hope they/we can figure out a fix or workaround before the weekend. Good luck and good night from the states. I'll check back tomorrow.![]()
