Ships Unbearable Anaconda !!!

Its mass (barely more than a Python), its volume (greater than the Beluga)... makes it unbearable.

This greatly devalues many other ships.

It's not about balancing, it's about correcting a gross illogicality which seriously affects the coherence of the fleet of ships and harms the immersion in the game (which the target audience, of which I am a part, expects as logical as possible).

Sincerely

Welcome to the Forum! You will find a lot of info here.

You seem to have no clue where the Anaconda fits in the Elite Dangerous universe and why so many players fly it even in taking out Thargoids in the war. Do all the math you want but talk to a seasoned Anaconda pilot and why they fly it. First will be the best large ship of the big three with with the best narrow targeting reticles for all the weapons. If you are good with advanced fixed weapons the Cutter and Corvette cannot compete with the firepower of an Anaconda. They have their own specialties in tthe game.

Regards

Yes I am fully aware of his qualities.

Its excellent convergence of hardpoints is obviously still a largely excessive quality compared to other large ships. But at the limit, it could be an acceptable point of superiority if he was the only one.

The Anaconda excels in all Elite Dangerous activities (except for a few special marginal ones). Where is the balance?

The fact of explaining to me that many players use it because it is "cheated" only reinforces my first arguments, doesn't it?

I know players who shun him precisely because he considers him "magical" and not rational.
Personally I think it ruins the game.

Just consider its mass of 400t, you will see how ridiculously impossible it is.

Cordially

Each to their own really - personally I find it too slow and with manoeuvring too similar to that of a house brick. There's not enough module space for it to be a decent large pad trader for the resources you sink into it and while the jump range is excellent for exploration, it was horrible to fly when I got where I was going (compared to my Phantom at least).

The only use I have for it at the moment is putting 4 pacifiers and 2 medium frags on it. Gets round the poor manoeuvrability since you don't have to turn much if everything gets destroyed in the first salvo.

I never understood why anyone wants the Annie ? Apart from it's jump range and possibly it's DPS . But many ships are quicker more manoeuvrable. But to be truthful I don't even own one as I could never find a right place for it . Exploration= dolphin( clipper krait ) trade = python , combat = python , making loadsof money = cutter , landing on outposts = python, CZ= corvette . It's a marmite sort of ship. But Fdev put a lot into the Annie so someone would have to love it ???

Fitting an Anaconda with some weapons and a bunch of passenger cabins makes it the best starport attack/damaged evacuation ship in the game.
Kill scouts until the interceptors arrive then pop in the starport to pick up to 184 passengers... and then the nearly 50LY jump range makes the trip to the rescue ship in fewer jumps too. Makes a fun way to fill G5 manufactured and encoded materials, always taking missions with fewest passengers and material rewards.

I fly this ship in reconnaissance. You can put all the modules in it and it has six legs.
I can put it in any inconvenient place.

I love the 'conda, and I hate the FDL. Sooo... I fly the 'conda, instead of wasting everyone's time complaining about the FDL.
Just consider its mass of 400t, you will see how ridiculously impossible it is.
So what? Most of this game is ridiculously impossible.
