Earning ARX every week is honestly pretty fun. It gives you a sense of progression, it rewards you for playing the game, it encourages you to participate and create an active community.
Unfortunately, that runs out after about an hour. It really doesn't take very long to max out your weekly ARX accumulation.
Further, while I do want to support fdev, and I do need more ARX to buy some of the things I want, I really have no particular desire to just buy it straight up, because that's not terribly enjoyable. The progression and earning it is a big part of what makes it fun.
So here's an odd idea. What if we could pay a monthly fee to uncap the amount of ARX we can earn?
I'm thinking something like $10 a month, maybe with some sort of discount if you sign up to have it be recurring. For particularly active players, this could be a highly efficient way of accumulating ARX, but for most players it would probably be less efficient than the alternative.
From Fdev's perspective, however, it would create a degree of consistent income, which would allow them to predict their development costs ahead of time, which would be good. For players who like earning things, it would allow us to do so rather than outright buying them, which would also be good.
I don't know. Crazy? Or just crazy enough to work?
