Underground on planets

Reading the newsletter got me excited... even though planetary landing wont be for a while.

So, do you guys/girls think there will be sort of rare underground portions to planets? like huge caves to dent and break your ship... while you are struggling to see anything past your ship lights...

I didn't get so excited. I seen in Beta someone went all the way to the surface. Although it does have detail it is not great. It's way too much datail to make them all that great.

Go google, search Space Engine, that must be how it will be in Elite, bet my ass it will be near to that level of detail, and I myself would pay aroun 5-7.5€ for an expansion that only included caves (or, and this is really going mad, getting your ship underwater, just imagine that).

Flying through caves would be awesome

With paintjobs at 5 pounds a pack I think the expansion minimum price will be 15 pounds probably more.
